Telemetry & DataLink Total Solution

  • Telemetry System

The Telemetry System collects required internal information of the aircraft (analog/discrete/digital remote measurement and image/video data) based on the user's requirements (shape, measurement information), and wirelessly transmits the information to the remote measurement receiving system.

  • Command Link Unit

The Command Link Unit tracks the trajectory of guided weapons through communication with ground-based radar and beacons. In emergency situations such as orbit deviation, it receives and decodes emergency termination commands from the ground transmission system.

  • Test Equipment

The Telemetry Test Equipment is installed on guided weapons and manned/unmanned aircraft in order to check the pre-flight status and condition of the telemetry device. It includes data reception, separation / restoration, a simulator that generates stimulus signals, and a diagnostic program that can analyze received data.
The Command Transmission and Reception Test Equipment performs trajectory tracking simulation, emergency termination simulation, system signal simulation, and conducts analysis of diagnostic signals to verify the performance of command transmission and reception equipment.

  • DataLink

The DataLink provides wireless communication between unmanned vehicles/guided weapons and ground/control systems. It transceives command, status, video, mission data and tactical/mission data for unmanned systems.

  • Weapon DataLink

The Weapon DataLink is a wireless communication unit between a guided weapon and a ground control system. This unit performs transmission and reception of control command and mission data.

  • Radar Altimeter

The Radar Altimeter is a type of radar used in guided weapons to measure altitude. This device emits a signal from a transmission antenna towards the ground, in order to calculate the altitude of the guided weapon.

  • Low Profile Antenna

The Low Profile Antenna is installed on guided weapons, aircraft and launcher, designed to the aerodynamics of each flight vehicle. It transmits and receives signals between the telemetry devices/command transmission in the vehicle and receiver system in the ground system.

  • Wrap Around Antenna

The Wrap Around Antenna is for weapon systems that require miniaturization and lightweight, designed to wrap around the entire skin of small guided weapons.

  • Conformal Antenna

The Conformal Antenna applies a radome made of high temperature resistant material, minimizing aerodynamic resistance through a skin-integrated structure of guided weapons, aircraft and launch vehicles.

  • Telemetry Receiving System

The Telemetry Receiving System consists of the S-band antenna(automatic tracking antenna), the S-band receiver, and data processing software that receives measurement data wirelessly transmitted from the remote sensing unit. Real-time display and storage of measurement data, as well as post-analysis of stored data, is supported through data processing.

  • Command Transmission System

The Command Transmission System is designed to ensure the safety of flight tests by transmitting an encrypted emergency termination signal via a UHF-band antenna, which safely terminates the flight of a guided weapon in the case of emergency situations, such as orbit deviation.
